Ariela paints murals and still isn't married at 25. Her family thinks she’s obstinate. When her mobile phone rings, it’s often her cousins trying to fix her up with young men from the Jewish community in Mexico City. Then she meets charismatic Iván. He shows her facets of the city she never knew about, different kinds of food, and much more. They become lovers. While Iván’s family doesn’t have a problem with Ariela being Jewish, Ariela’s family is upset that she loves a goy... Director Isaac Cherem, who co-wrote the screenplay with outstanding lead Naian González Norvind, has created a sensitive, thoughtful, and striking portrait of a young Jewish woman between tradition and modernity.
