DIE UNSICHTBAREN – WIR WOLLEN LEBEN

Berlin, 1943. The Nazi regime has officially declared its capital city "judenrein," "purified of Jews." But some Jews actually manage the unthinkable. They become invisible to the authorities. It is often pure luck and their youthful abandon that save them from the Gestapo.

Since the early 1990s, Claus Räfle has shown his feel for extraordinary topics and suspenseful stories. The jury of the Grimme-Preis distinguished his satirical TV documentary DIE HEFTMACHER as being the best piece of TV journalism of the year. The Max Ophüls Preis gave his provocative 60-minute feature film DER KANDIDAT an honorable mention. His documentaries BLITZHOCHZEIT IN DÄNEMARK and DIE STUNDE DAVOR were nominated for Best German TV Documentary at the Prix Europa.
